Abstract

this article examines the economic modernization of the mechanical engineering industry in the Republic of Belarus in the context of regional integration. In the context of new globalization, positive integration dynamics,
primarily within the Union State of Belarus and Russia, opens up new opportunities for modernizing the Belarusian
mechanical engineering complex. In the context of new globalization, Belarusian-Russian integration is becoming
not just a factor facilitating the accelerated modernization of the domestic mechanical engineering industry, but
a prerequisite for it. In addition to increased access to investment resources as a positive effect of Belarusian
Russian integration, the scientific, technical, labor, and institutional potential of the neighboring state in the field of
mechanical engineering modernization can be utilized for the economic modernization of the domestic mechanical
engineering industry.
